Ricky and Jacqui met, as colleagues, at Ann Taylor Loft in Brea CA. We disagree about who was who's boss, but sticking to facts: Jacqui's title is the one that included the word Manager ;). In 2001 our store manager Mindi, who at the time was Jacqui's roomate, invited Ricky to crash on the living room couch while he transitioned to his own 'pad.' To make a long story short, Ricky never really left that couch and Mindi eventually moved out. Since then, Ricky and Jacqui have shared a couch in countless cities (Riverside, CA; Pomona, CA; Cypress, CA; Overland Park, KS; Olathe, KS; Woodbury, MN), eventually settling in their hometown near Kansas City.

Ricky and Jacqui started as great friends. The romance and 'something more' came later. Lorinda, Ricky's mom, knew long before either of us would admit to anything more. Thanks to her labeling us - we became just that - 'boyfriend and girlfriend.' 10 years later on Easter Sunday 2012, Ricky proposed, Jacqui said 'yes!, yes!, yes!' and the couple were engaged!

We have shared many experiences, personal and professional accomplishments, and most importantly made many dear friends along our journey. We are honored to mave many of them, along with our families, share in our wedding ceremony as we assume the newest label and become 'husband and wife!'
